Errors

Error conditions are stored by the traction control hardware.  Error codes are generated for the target slip selector switch as well as non-functional wheel speed inputs.

There are three different types of error conditions:

Pending, which means an input is out of range but has not yet triggered an error condition.
Active, which means that an input currently is out of range.
Old, which means that the error condition existed previously, but currently the input is working correctly.

Error codes may be cleared from the menu or toolbar.

Error Counters

The total number of wheel speed sensor pulses along with the number of errors are accumulated for each wheel.

Normally the error count is zero, even with several million wheel speed pulses.  A high error count for one wheel indicates a bad wheel speed sensor or wiring problem.
