Knock Sensor code without knock sensor

Hello Hondata. I recently installed an S300 on my buddy's B18 LS non-vtec swapped EG hatch and it keeps throwing a knock sensor code even with the knock sensor disabled in the parameters, And the vehicle doesn't even have a knock sensor. When the code is triggered it kicks me off the live data stream and the logging. I recently updated the USB drivers and it seems to have stopped but I only tested it for about 5 minutes. Is there something I need to do to stop this and can I install a knock sensor and use it? Thanks.

Are you uploading the calibration after you have disabled the knock sensor.

Knock control can only be used in a knock compatible ECU:

yup. I just had it running for about 10 minutes and the code hasn't come back so I think the updated USB drivers fixed it for some reason. Is that possible? Sounds strange to me. I'm going to try and do some logging right now and see what happens. Thanks for the quick response spunkster.

USB drivers have nothing to do with error code reporting.

I didn't think so but I wasn't sure if the laptop was just glitching because if the USB drivers not matching or something. I'm an auto tech, not a programmer. lol...

I have seen something strange like this happen twice

1) The person had a faulty ecu

2) I had a corrupt file somehow. I had to start over with a new calibration but the continuous "fake" CEL went away.

Yea. I reloaded the Calibration and it's all set now. Thanks for the info man.
