Which Route to take? AFM/MAF or MAP Calibration?

Post by danielg »

Hey,

I am having a hard time determining which base calibration to load onto my car. I have a 2008 Honda Civic Si Sedan.

Bolt-ons: Injen CAI & Vibrant race header with High Flow cat.
Note: STOCK EXHAUST

I do see both an AFM/MAF and a MAP base calibration that fit my bolt-ons perfectly, but I dont know which way to go! AFM/MAF or MAP?

Benefits of AFM/MAF? MAP? Recomendations? Basically, I want the one that makes MORE POWER even if I lose some features like trip meter or something like that.

Thanks,
Dan

well the power is gonna depend on your tune, a base tune isnt the max power, i personally went with the MAP based basemap

MAP based will always be a better option and will be easier to tune for most tuners.
