Drawbacks to hooking up Wideband O2 to ELD on TSX Dual

I've read that the ELD tells the engine how much electrical load there is.

Are there any drawbacks to hooking up Wideband O2 to ELD on TSX Dual K-pro setup?

Is any functionality lost? Is the ELD used by the K-pro?

The main reason I ask is because I have a big stereo system drawing quite a bit of power and I want to make sure that I am not preventing the ECU from compensating for the extra electrical load required.

Thank you

Using the ELD input will not cause any undesired effects. If used for wideband input you must cut it from the actual ELD.

Do I need to do anything more than just simply cut the wire before it enters the K-Pro ECU harness?

(Keep in mind that mine is a dual ECU setup with the dual adapter harness)

No, it should be just like a regular K-Pro.

Just out of interest - what happends if the cable is not cut? Will it have any undesired side effects? I am asking becouse i have PRA ECU (Euro Civic TypeR) with WB connected to E15 ELD pin and i didn't cut the cable, just soldered it to that E15 cable. Everything seems to be working fine and as expected.

cheers

It will not work if the wire is not cut. It must be cut to read the wideband signal.
