Little help please...

Well I just got back into Guam about 4 hours ago and since I wasn't sleepy, decided to go ahead and put the KPro into the Snisen. All seemed to go well, except I am getting a CEL and when I put the OBD2 reader into the port it came up with an error for the output shaft speed sensor. Looking at the .kal I uploaded, the Speed Sensor is checked off as it says for 05-06 RSX, S2000 and TSX with a speedometer correction of 15%.

What could possibly be the problem? I used a recommended Civic Si O2 sensor which was way shorter than the stock primary O2 sensor, but it fits (just). Later on today (now 5:30am) will go back under the car and make sure I didn't possibly loosen the speed sensor connection. The 3 plugs are all tied into one another and I didn't feel like undoing them which made the primary connection quite tight.

One other thing, is the VTEC oil pressure switch supposed to be enabled? On the 06+ S2000 kal files, they all have it enabled. I disabled it because when I connected and started the car I immediately got an error specifically about the oil pressure sensor switch. After disabling, saving and uploading the .kal it did not show back up. Just want a little verification. Seems like I have to somewhat learn again KPro since the S is quite a bit different from my old DC5R Teggy.

Please lend a helping hand. Not sure what might happen if anything at all if I take it out for a drive.

Thank you in advance.

VTEC oil pressure should be disabled.

What calibration are you using?

Does the engine start and run?

Did you check the errors codes from the KPro as well as the OBDII port?

I went ahead and disabled the oil pressure already. The car fires up and drives without issue except for that CEL. The KPro is not receiving any error codes whatsoever at this time. The CEL is the same output shaft speed sensor reading from the OBD2 port, what is interesting, when the car is turned off and back on, the CEL is cleared on its own. I can start to drive for a little bit and out of nowhere the same error code pops up. I can not replicate when it will pop back on, it just randomly does so. At this time, I don't see it causing any issues, just an annoyance of seeing the CEL, but then again I already have the TCS and SRS lights lit up from replacing my steering wheel and front seats. So in a way, maybe just maybe that is tied into it somehow.

The calibration I started with was the 06-09 Toda as I have an Amuse exmani. I've slightly altered the fuel settings of course and the speed sensor I had to drop from the default 15% to 9% to equal the readout on the dash. One thing I have noticed though, when driving the gear selector readout is fine for 1st and 2nd gear, but as soon as I switch into 3rd gear, it jumps around from 3rd to 2nd to 3rd and then stays in 2nd and each subsequent upshift it stays one gear lower than it actually is. Any ideas on that one? Doesn't seem to be an issue now, but later on if I make gear specific changes for fuel and ignition, I see it will be a slight problem possibly.

The car does already feel more alive with the KPro over the Toda reflash I had, which I am quite happy about. Probably will take it to the strip this Friday night to do some WOT fine tuning...no dyno on Guam and no other place really to go WOT without having the police all over me. :)

You need to go to the gear comp tab in parameters and make sure you have your correct gear ratios entered then upload the calibration again.
