First time hooking up S200 to a P74/75 ECU "chipped" by Hondata. I'm trying to do this only: http://hondata.com/s200upgrade.html
  • Followed instruction for laptop serial settings
  • Burned a ROM/verified (I grabbed a BIN from "Hondata" folder saved as 3.x bin from 2.5 format when it asked me to)
  • S200 RED light flashing from inside box ON/OFF slowly
  • Switched ROM in case of being backwards
  • Unable to communicate w/ECU error via HondaLogger
  • I'm only trying to place/enable codes for BOOST & DATALOGGING as well
  • CEL remains ON (car not strated due to SMC hack unit still tapped into wiring)
  • Checked wiring over & over

Needless to say wasted 2-hrs, so I put old P74/75 ECU back & car runs fine using SMC hack crap.

For reference: the SMC hack unit taps into wiring only, & it cuts into wire for MAP as well (but I reconnected this MAP wire back to "stock"). The SMC unit only runs when car is fully started and not on second inginiton key turn.

Please someone help or do I have a bad unit(s). :x

UPDATE:

I burned the "h274.bin" from the Hondata ROMeditor -> ROM subfolder.

Should I have burned the "h273v3.bin" instead ???

Why not just use the wizard built into the software? File, New, then answer the questions. Try that first.

Solved that problem, thanks to "Spunkster" ....

Now I need a BIN that is closer to my setup, instead of the B18A w/JRSC@8psi ....

Anyone ? 8)

I will post my setup:

440rc's (Saturated)
B18B1 w/LS Tranny
Garrett T3/TO4E .60 housing .57-Trim (44 lbs/min flow)
Stock ignition
Stock boost from TiAL 35mm wastegate spring @ 6.4psi
