grounded starter wire, solid cel, fried ecu/hondata? how ca

Post by .adam. »

well on the initial start up on my car, my friend went to tighten down the starter wire and grounded it on the body of the starter. not knowing this, it stayed grounded for a few minutes and ruined my battery. after replacing the battery and trying to start the car, i got it to run, but with a solid cel. it ran like it was in limp mode and would not rev high. my ecu is chipped with hondata s300 and it connected, but would not datalog and the little light by the usb plug is a constant red. is there anyway i can find out what is bad with an ohm/volt meter and try to fix/replace it. all fuses are still good. im working on getting another ecu with s300 but cant really find anything yet.

Please download the newest version of software, then create a new calibration by going to File, New and upload that to the ECU.
