Air fule ratios

Post by soulstealer1984 »

I have a 2004 s2k. I just have 12.5:1 compression pistons bored 3mm over with stage 3 Brian Crowler cams duel valve springs with titanium retainers. I also installed the k-pro ECU.

Everything is installed and the car starts up and runs with no problem. However i have been unable to get any air fuel ratio readings. The ratio stays at a constant 14.7 never fluctuates at all even if I raise the over all fuel trim. The only error code I am getting is for the rocker arm oil pressure switch and one for the secondary O2 sensor (I’m sure the reason for the second error code is the fact that i do not have a CAT). I disabled the emissions check for the secondary O2 sensor so I no longer have that code but it didn’t change the fact that I don’t have air fuel ratios. I would assume that if my primary O2 sensor was not functioning I would have an error code for that sensor.

I cannot think of anything to do to fix this issue if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

The S2000 uses a narrowband o2 sensor. The AF will not read. The o2 voltage will read, and you should also look at the short term fuel trims.

One final question in reference to this, what wide band O2 sensor should i use for my car.
