ever since i update to the latest version. the software always reset to its default settings every time i close and reopen the program. for instance, if i set the fuel table to read boost, 2D. check on the "realtime update", and resize all the windows to my preference. then every time i close the program and reopen it, it would go back to its default settings (no boost, 3D, (realtime update" uncheck, all the windows go back to its default size. this issue just start eversince i update to the new 1.4. anyone have this problem before?

What windows are you running? It could be that the configuration files are read-only, but I'll need to know the windows version and installation directory before going any further.

Vista 32 or 64 ?

Sorry about the complexity, but Vista uses a process called 'virtualization' to hide what is actually going on from SManager.

Assuming that you installed into the default directories, check the contents of C:\Program Files\SManager and look for these files: smanager.ini, sensors.ini & templates.ini

By default windows will a) not show any files in the Program Files directory and b) not show any files extensions for files that it does display, so you will have to change the Folder Options and uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'.

If you can see any of the .ini files, check that they are not read only (right click, properties, attributes) and also check the last modification date. If you can't see any of the files, then either Windows is still hiding them or they don't exist.

Next, find C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SManager\ and look for smanager.ini there. Again, check if it is not read only and the last modification date. Note <user> is your logon name.

Lastly, find C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Hondata\SManager and look for smanager.ini.

If you're looking for a quick fix then try running SManager once as administrator and see if it fixes it. You should then be able to run it under your regular user account.

Sorry, read only should not be checked.

ok i check all of it and its all unchecked on the read only box. the smanager.ini last date modification is 5/9 and the template.ini and the sensors.ini date is 4/30. the smanager is still going back to its default settings. anything else i should look for?

In what locations did you find SManager.ini?

Do you launch SManager as administrator to see if that fixes it?

Right click pm the SManager link and select 'run as administrator'.

I suspect that there are other copies of SManager.ini in some of the directories which Windows is hiding from you.

The s300 calibrations folder under 'my documents' normally will be empty.
If you have saved calibrations into the program files directory, then search for the them and copy into the 's300 calibrations' folder.
With Vista you may need to search the user directory to see if Vista has squirreled calibrations away there as well.

Go to File, New to see the built in calibrations.
