Secondary Table question

OK, If im already using a dohc vtec motor can i still use secondary tables or is this pretty much for non vtec only? Is there somthing im missing...
Im putting methanol on the car, and using my normal Map (high speed) for a safeguard basicly anything above 18psi with have a heavy ignition retard, anything below that boost level it will have a normal tune on it, i want to switch to another map via pressure switch (inline with the methanol) so once it sees pressure it will switch to the map thats tuned properly for it?
