HELP! S300 thinks my injectors are much smaller

Post by hondamanmike »

im running a stock b20b from a usdm p30
ive had the s300 for a year or so now.
up until recently i was running a turbo ls with 450cc injectors
it ran great idled great it was great
i installed my b20 with the 450's and compensated for the difference in size like usual and it was fine except for a slight idle issue
now that i installed the stock 240's it wont run on any stock map available

it only runs if i tell it i have 180cc injectors and throw a bunch more fuel at it across the board.
any ideas??

It is probably because massive changes have been made to the fuel trim settings or to the fuel tables. Go to File, New and start with a new base calibration.

Dont the fuel maps auto adjust when you key in the new injector size?

For example, If I am running 725 inj now, and I change them to 550 inj, do I need to do a whole new map? Or do I just key in the new injector size at the fuel trim page and it will auto adjust?

in theory you should be able to key in a new size and it will automatically adjust for that.
but its just not adjusting for me

Just do what Spunkster said above. It's not going to do everything for you. Adjust the overall fuel trim and you should be good.

if you have a tune and just change the injector size it still wont be right you will need to redo your A/F

And the purpose of the S300 is to make changes yourself. IT'S NOT GOING TO DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU!!!!

Well im too mature to call people names. Besides remember you're the one with the problem not me. My car runs perfectly on E85 with 1000cc injectors. I went from 650cc, 750cc now 1000cc. Never had a problem. Just realize that because you spent $600 on a program you still have to make changes especially when you change the injectors. And no, it won't do your laundry or dishes. lol.....

im fully aware that chages will need to be made.
but apparently you cant comprehend my problem, but when someones having trouble with a certain something i dont talk down to them.
this is why the honda world is so difficult. there arent any purist's, just a bunch of snotty little kids with too much money trying to do whats cool.

how come there is never this kind of controversy in the volvo world or the chevy world or the nissan world??

its amazing that the most brilliant car company to ever offer theyre product, has the most idiotic self righteous following in the history of followings.

it saddens me.
why cant we all just help eachother maybe that way we can earn a little respect
