Question About pre start datalog

Post by GTMcoupe »

Gents just wondering if the following is correct, trying to diagnose a problem think its the ICM in the distributor but did a quick sensor check ignition on engine NOT running to check map tps etc and noticed the following

-4 on ignition retard [sounds reasonable]
-100% on Ict + Ect Comps
-100% S.trim

Unfortantly no datalog of the above tonight as lost it. but it would show the above.

The -100% sounds a bit odd but this is one of the first times I have dataloged a non running engine. So just to check I was getting fuel. and the confirme the injectors were opening when cranking I disabled the fuel pump after pressurising the system and watched the pressure drop away on cranking. so i take it the -100% might be normal on a datalog of a non running engine?

Cheers

You can't get any real info from a datalog and a non-running car except read the TPS and calibrate it.
