i just bought a 89 civic with a stock k20a2 which was swapped in 2006.
i dont think anybody messed with kpro since then and i do not have the ecu calibration. although the following line kept popping up..

"The calibration in the ECU (1.2.x.x.) is from an older version of K-manager. Please upgrade the ECU calibration before datalogging from this ECU. "

so i decided to just upload a stock map so i could setup the launch control.

well now the engine doesnt even turn over (i disabled multiplexer and the immobilizer). it started fine 5min before i uploaded the map and as soon as it was uploaded i turn the key to start it and nothing happens. is this something to do with the hardware/firmware being such an old version and it is clashing with the newer calibration? or is it just a fluke and something is wrong with my starting/ignition circuit? (brand new battery and starter)

edit: i forgot to mention that "update firmware" is grayed out/ unclickable.

Try clearing the security and then upload the map again.

i don't see how the ecu has anything to do with it cranking over or not.

but it just seems like too much of a coincidence for the ecu not to be the issue somehow.

The ECU is not related to the starter circuit. If the engine does not turn over, it is the vehicle wiring.
