Hi
After tune the non Vtec map on driving(it drives smooth with afr 14,8-13,5:1 afr) it seems to me that my Vtec map is a little bit too rich.
When Vtec switched on the Afr drop from 13,5 to 11-10,3:1 and it refs slow to 8k (faster then a non turbo vtec but i think it must ref harder).
The ignition timing is not changed from the basemap that S-Manager has created.
Should i tune the fuel map first and after this (when not much is changing on the ref speed) the ignition map ?
Is a Afr around 12:1 better to ref harder from 6-8k rpm ?
how lean can i go on full load ?
What ignition timing is save in full throttle from 6-8k rpm ?
Engine b16a2 and has Wiseco pistons, Eagle Rods, Blockguard, Skunk2 valves, stock camshafts, boost at this time around 7,5 Psi (i dont will raise up the boost because i have the stock map sensor and only 440ccm injectors)
Tune the V-Tec area to rich ?

i run colums 1-6 at 14.70, colums 7-9 at 13.50, and colums 10-13 at 12.00. under full boost i usually end up with a timing around 16-19 deg. but it all depends on the motor as how far you can push it before knock. You need to smooth out your fuel charts because they are very bumpy and it is easier to correctly tune with a smooth fuel map.
shut up and boost it!

thanks for the reply. In the past weeks i had a few Quartermile races so i have fine tuned the fuel and ignition maps. my target AFr is like you have postet. i run under full boost around 20 degree ignition. Boost is at this time max 9.2 psi.
My time on a non Prepared Drag strip with street tires and 9psi boost i hit a 13.6 at 107mph
Its a Delsol, not a Hatchback or something Light weight...

Where in Germany are you? Are you talking about racing in Eisenach at racewars?Kai-DelSol wrote:thanks for the reply. Wow dude, what did you do to your high speed ignition?? And your High speed fuel? Making your high speed ignition all strait in one line won't solve your problem. And making your high speed fuel straight won't solve your issue. Try putting your starting out with a hondata "b16a Greddy Turbo"
