how to disable knock? Fuel problem also

Post by Full Spool »

New to the hondata, I need some help. How do I disable the knock sensor?

At idle, the afs are reading 10.5on the wide band and when I try to take out fuel in the tracer box that shows up it will not change.

Go to the MISC tab in Parameters.

You have not provided enough information:

well I just loaded a map off of the s300 and worked from there, the map looks like shit, there is a big drop and it's not smooth. The radiator fan quit working so it started to get hot and I quit, I am not a tuner I am just playing around to learn the software so take it easy on me :)

94 gsr stock
t3/t4 turbo
dsm 450s
2.5 exhaust
2.5 ic pipes, IC, etc

You are usign different injectors than that calibration is set for. Also they are peak and hold injectors instead of saturated like the calibration was tuned with. I would recommend starting from a stock calibration and begin your tuning from there (File, New).

You may also find it helpful to read the Help file found both in the software and on our website at http://www.hondata.com/help/smanager/index.html

I know the injectors are different, but I figured it would get it close. I don't get how sat and unsat injectors are going to be that much of a difference since hondata doesn't specify the option only CC difference.

I have been reading through the help file and threads on hondata trying to figure this stuff out. The wide band I am using is a AEM uego, I do not have it connected to the ecu so I believe that might be some of my problem. I don't understand the different inputs that hondata list, should I use the d14 o2 or another option? The web site is unclear to me along with the help menu for explaining which is which.

I need to get the wideband connected to the ecu, and I started a new file and I am going to try to make a basemap. I was just looking for something close that a tuner had that knows what they are doing. I figured a stock gsr turbo someone would have but I guess not.

Thanks

Peak and hold injectors like what you have require the use of a resistor box or they will damage the ecu. Also they have different flow characteristics than a saturated injector of similar size.
