I have a kpro PRA, and certainly happens some weird things when I connect to the PC. I don´t know that it´s normal or could be
that mine´s is broken.
When I only connect to the PC, it´s very hard to start the car only to see the values. And when finally starts, it seems that the car drowns for a bit.
Another thing is when I try to put any .kal. The last time I did it, the check motor light comes out and the engine didn´t started. I deleted the map to put it again, and the light dissapeared. But the car still didn´t started and the ECU became a bit crazy and started reseting very fast out of control.
I tried another time to put a .kal, and it cost a lot to the car to start. Even the starter didn´t work at this time. I´ve been worried at this time because the .kal was fine because I´ve used before.
When I opened the tables, I could see that it had huge peaks, like the ecu was corrupted, but when I drove it goes like the .kal.
And finally, to put a new .kal I had to erase it and put it a lot of times until de ECU read it correctly. It´s very strange...
The question is:
Is it normal on all the kpros?? It´s just to claim to the vendor.
And do you know any update who works with Windows Vista??
