The "new" k24a2 calibration!
There is a new calibration I never noticed before called "tsx 04-05 - Stock"
Visually I see some differences in the maps, however, if both are "stock - Tsx" calibration, which one would be better to use?
The new one looks a lot smoother with nicer cam angles and ignition tables. I cant wait to try it out tomorrow.
Honestly, I just wanted to know why these two calibrations are so different.

I'm the same Plainol from Ephatch.com by the way! haha!
I think Power delivery was the main issue, I cant think of many other factors that make me like it.
to go into detail, i would say that, part throttle acceleration and around town driving is much smoother.
Before with my previous tune, there would be lots of power dips under part throttle, and a noticeable lack of power after vtec engagement.
(this was due to a drastic reduction of ignition in columns 8-10)
(which was due to poor cam angle tuning).
I used to catch myself unwilling to drive in part throttle, meaning I would either be at full throttle or not at all to avoid the feeling of the crappy, dippy part throttle tuning)
High and Low Cam Angle maps look a lot cleaner.
Full throttle acceleration is much stronger compared to my previous tune.
(Just a disclaimer: My previous tune was absolute garbage so I think actual results may vary)
Other than that, I would say just just a renewed feeling to drive the car. :)
cheers!

Kudos for producing the new tsx-04-05 stock calibration for us K24a2 owners, it's great!
Hondata - Two quick questions.
1. Open loop seems very rich, is this to accommodate the reflash owners and adding modifications without running lean? (My understanding is this calibration is the same or similar to the reflash)
2. The tsx-04-05 race header intake tune seems very aggressive with timing. I have a shorty header, custom exhaust and CAI. Is it worth trying this tune for me or a waste of time trying it since I don't have a race header or a modified VTC?
Thanks!

Slip angle.. The part throttle is a bit rich, sorry about that, I recommend removing a bit of fuel in those areas..
The old stock TSX map was pretty worthless, even in a non-drive by wire car, and should probably be removed.. :)

I'm pretty happy with the part throttle. The tune is so smooth and the power delivery very nice. I'm really enjoying this tune. It would have been nice to have this tune a couple years ago!locash wrote:Slip angle.. The part throttle is a bit rich, sorry about that, I recommend removing a bit of fuel in those areas..

I tried the other new tune that needs a RH, Intake and exhaust and saw a ton of knocks so I just finished tuning up the new stock tune.
