Converting from RomEditor 2.5 ROM to S300

Hi there,
I'm in a situation where i need to convert a RE 2.5 map (JDM P30) to the S300. If i try loading the map into SManager v1.4.0 all i get is a garbled mess - clearly SManager can't understand the structure of the ROM. I assume this is because it only converts from V3 ROM's ?
Can you explain how to import a RE2.5 ROM into SManager and still end up with the same fuel and timing on the engine as the P30.
I have manually copied and pasted the maps over and adjusted the breakpoints, but the engine does not feel right at all. This leads me to believe that there are differences behind the scenes that is affecting what the engine actually gets.
