Made a datalog and woundering how the Kal is for my car

Post by 02typesnick »

Friday I decided to make a Datalog and was woundering if anyone could give me any input on my cal im using. Currently im running the CAI tune on kmanager with no modification to it, ive only had kpro for about 3 to 4 weeks and havent learn enough on kmanager to street tune and be comftorable in doing so. But the down side about the datalog is the temperature for the day was 11F and the IAT's was around 22, so im sure i should look through my datalogs for one done when it was warmer. But let me know what you think good or bad, and also if i need to post another datalog with warmer IAT's

My mods are:
AEM CAI
Dc sports cermaic header
Buddy Club Spec III exhaust

wot wise it actually doesnt lok too bad. BUT. that datalog is no good. going through the gears doesnt help. what you need to do is get the car in 3rd or 4th gear(careful not to kill yourself or get in trouble of course). get around 2000 rpm and hold it steady , like i said at least 3rd , 4th is better. once you have it steady at 2000 rpm , floor it and dont let off till you hit the redline , say 8200 is plenty on a stock k20a2. do another datalog as ive told you how , and post that.

it looks pretty good really , lol. whats wierd is your car ecu isnt reading from column 10 at all the whole time during WOT. couldnt tell you why off the top of my head but. have never seen that before. you need to start your datalog lower than 3k , 2 is best.

well i would have done 2k instead of 3k but cars was coming and couldnt slow down enough and i looked at it more my self i noticed my air fuels are running 14s in the high rpm range like above 7500 so i set my rev limiter to 7500 till i add some more fuel but still havent really learned how to add fuel yet

His manifold pressure is about 1 psi lower than normal cranny.

Where do you live? Just thinking it may be something to do with where u are regarding how far above/below sea level. Can you switch on your ign and click on datalog and see what your MAP is b4 u even crank the engine?

i was on crsx magenisum noted that my TPS was reading 102% and my maximum TPS setting for it is 100% so ive changed the maximum setting to 102% so im woundering if thats why im not going into column #10 or thats why it might be a little leaner on top end. But the down side is it just got done snowing here the roads are wet and the temperature is 32 degrees and dropping and its just going to get colder so im not going to do a datalog run due to the fact it be to dangerous the stretch of interstate i go over 2 bridges but i live in mcminn Tennessee ill check to see what the pressure says here in a few mins though

thanks man i appreciate that i didnt really excpect for anyone to help me out i worked on one fuel map but i didnt put to much fuel at all to it but i cant run a datalog due to the fact there is black ice all over the place but thanks cranny ill let you know tomorrow if ice is gone oh yeah but by calibrating the TPS to the max of 102% would that change anything

i think because im running lean is because the kPa for the map sensor is to low because in those datalogs the map sensor is only reading like 98.something and column 10 is set at 104 which would explain why im running lean top end. so do you think if i set that down i will run where i need to A/F wise
