TL Throttle Body

Post by Zigg »

Okay, I did a search for this, so please don't flame me for asking this; but the 64mm TB which Hondata bolted onto their K24A test engine, was this a GMA1A 21112 TB from the 3.2TL and the 3.0 Accord?

If this is, has anyone bored it over to see what can be done safely? This looks like a great simple bolt-on for my 06 Si (especially with my ported RBC manifold.) :D
8,000 rpm is NOT enough.

Well, since sadly noboby knew this answer, this question is Hondata Specific. On the TL/Accord TB, there is only the two ports on the bottom of the TB, yet the TSX and Si have a third on the top of the TB. What was done with this while using the larger Accord/TL TB?

Your best option is the 64mm TB from the 06-08 TSX. The TL TB was used as the initial testing was done in 2005 before the 64mm TSX TB was available.

D'oh. Thank you. I have the TL throttle body sitting at home and was really hoping to use it. But thank you for the response! I was actually totally unaware the newer TSX came with a larger TB. I thought they were all 60mm.
