Dumb S2000 install question

Post by sinistrs2k »

Hi,

I purchased a used S2000 K-Pro recently. In doing my preperations for the install I see a lot of references to a wiring harness and have even seen a picture of the wires running through the firewall to the K-Pro. However, mine did not come with this harness. When I asked the seller where the harness was, he replied that it was built in to the K-Pro on the board, there wasn't an external harness.
So, am I missing a part? I'm assuming that I am. What exactly does this harness connect to? Based on the instructions, it looks like it goes to the new cam sensor, right?
How hard is it going to be to get a replacement for this harness? Anyone know a source?
The kit came with every other part, the box, cd, the mounting bracket. I've also already purchased all the other conversion parts necessary, I think I'm just missing this one crucial piece.

Finally, I've seen it mentioned that the K-Pro comes with a basic map on it for NA driving. I'm currently NA with typical bolt-ons. Do new K-Pros come with a basic NA tune? I'm also assuming that once it is installed I'll be able to connect to it with the software and see what tune is on it, but since it is used, it could be anything. I intend to get a real tune, but would like to be able to drive it to the tuner and not have to have it towed.

Thanks in advance,
J

What is the serial number of the K-Pro board inside the ecu?

The box it came in said 5071.
There is a bar code on the board inside that says 05005071.

Thanks,

You will have to contact the seller and have them get you the subharness that was included with it.

Seller maintains that no such harness exists. Is there not a way to buy one from Hondata?

Just out of curiosity, why did you need that number?

Thanks much,
Jason

I assure you that the harness exists as each S2000 prepared K-Pro is shipped with it. The seller needs to give you this harness.
