I've been using the 1.2.2.7 to tune my car. Once it was all said and done I put the tune aside for at least a year.
Today, I did the following
1) Upgrade my Kpro software to 1.3.0.0
2) Downloaded the calibration from my ECU (*Which was tuned under 1.2.2.7) - It did say something abt the tune was from an old version bla bla bla
3) I added +5% fuel in my 40 & 50 degree hi-cam and uploaded to my car.
Then the car wouldn't start but it tries to crank over, it even spit out a error code 'engine overheat' (*But the car didn't even start, and there's no overheating...!?)
Anyway, good thing I saved my good old stuff on a USB key, so i re-install the old 1.2.2.7 version and even uploaded my calibration I tweaked in 1.3.0.0 to the ECU. The car started fine after.
Did I do something wrong or something else needs upgrading?
Car won't start after uploading with new Kmanager version?
The first problem is downloading the calibration. This is known to not always work. The other thing you can try is to go to Online, Tools and clear security , wait until that finishes, close the program, reopen the program, load your calibration and then upload the calibration. If that still does not work, go to File, New and create a new calibration. You must close the program and reopen it before uploading a new calibration.
Thanks. The car works but only after I uploaded with the older version of Kmanager
My question is, now that I have downloaded the calibration from the ECU onto the computer (*it didn't work when uploaded with 1.3.0.0, but work when uploaded with 1.2.2.7)... is it safe to say I can upgrade my Kmanager version, open the calibration i previously downloaded and let Kmanager upgrade the calibration if needed, and then use it to tune my car?
