erratic speed sensor

Post by tsrperformance »

check out this log
With 2 step activated, the speed sensor reads 19mph
When it shows 19 mph, of course 2 step is deactivated and full-throttle shift activates.

It sometimes goes up to the 60 mph range.

With the 2-step set to something low, say 4000 rpm, this will not happen. speed stays at 0mph like it should.

I have rewired the speed sensor directly to the ecu to eliminate any harness issues with that circuit. No changes.

Let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thanks for the help

Since this is an engine swap it appears that there is a wiring issue somewhere that is creating intermitent signals to be generated in your wiring. This could just be from improperly shielded wires to wires that go to the wrong thing.

This has been tested on the bench and there is no problem found in the software.
