vtec window

i am wondering why the itr-stock calibration has the engage and disengage points set at the same 5700? Does this mean the vtec will not engage? What can i set them at as i don't think the vtec is engaging. New to honda as well as ecus. It is a 97 jdm b18c installed in a austin mini.

Them both being the same activation point does not mean VTEC will not work. If your VTEC is not engaging then there is some other cause.

Setting them both the same means that vtec will engage ONLY at that rpm, and not between a high and low range.
