my idle is messed. car ran perfect with 440cc injectors in it , of course not enough for 6.5 lbs of boost im running on it. so i put some 750's in it , thats all , changed injectors. now the car idles like shit. i tested for vacuum leaks , theres none. no engine light , no indicator i can see of anything wrong , must be missing somin.
also , i did a WOT pull earlier , i let off at 7600 rpm cause i got 1 count of knock , just 1. and my duty cycle was at 95%? how can 440's last till 6600 , and 750's just barely be enough? starting to piss me off , lol. must be lack of pressure , i got a 255lph walbro , putting it in monday , try again than. im sure it will make a difference.
heres a datalog , car warm , just idling , someone please , explain this to me , lol:
wonky idle

i know this spunkster , lol. i have been. that datalog i posted is after playing with them and still am everyday. it sounds like it has a miss at idle. and the AF goes up and down , up and down. when in closed loop idling , short term is telling me its -16 or so fuel to achieve. even though it surges up to ike 16.5:1 , and back down to normal , sometimes more.
i did 2 datalogs today , one for 20 cam , and one for 30 cam. got the cruising part of my map pretty good now , little more work but its close. i run 25 degrees cam for cruising part of the map. at WOT , i sit at exactly 11.5:1 the whole way through from 2500 rpm to redline.
i just dont understand why my car idles so shitty. this up and down AF and miss it sounds like. i am still running sock plugs , stock gap as well. i was due for new plugs before i even boosted the car so. im gonna get 1 step colder plugs and gap them a little tighter , see if it helps.
i appreciate your insight spunkster , more than you know. if i could just get the car to idle like it did with the 440's in it , id be a happy man.

I kinda get this as well. Put it in open loop and tuned the idle but in closed loop it sometimes sits at 16.5:1 at tickover which results in slight misfires. Sometimes it runs fine and yet other times it's back up to 16 odds A/F.
I have been told that the RC's aren't the best spray pattern and upping the idle revs and making it richer than 14.7 help but that means running in open loop all the time which I ain't keen on.
I've seen myself just go into the 0 cam map and add 10% fuel to the whole map to see if it helps. It does for a few days then it goes back to doing whatever it likes.
Not spent anytime on it recently tho and do plan on doing the 0 degree map from scratch again.
