Only running in limp mode? blinking USB lights?

I just picked up a Kproed ecu. I can up load the maps just find but every time i try to start the car it has trouble, and hen runs in limp mode. Doesn't matter what the .Kal is. The LEDs next to the usb port, one is blinking the other is solid. I don't remember if it was green blinking or red. Does anyone have any ideas? I've had Kpro on my 2003 si before and i've even tried running one of the street tuned maps that we created back then, still the same problem, limp mode.

If it helps When i first got the ECU i tried pulling the map off of it that was on it and it kept error out, and wouldn't do it.
