K-Pro calibration upload failure on European Civic Type-R

Hi,

I?ve bought a second hand K-Pro PRA ECU for my 2003 European Civic Type-R EP3.

I?ve installed the ECU, immobilizer is disabled and when I try to upload the CivicTypeR factory or CivicTypeR tuned map I get an error message that the upload has failed.

USB drivers are installed properly, I?m using a Windows Vista laptop and the latest version of Kmanager 1.2.3.5

Battery voltage is fine, I tried another laptop with Windows XP and even installed the K-Pro into my friend?s 2002 EP3 but received the same error message. :(

Any ideas?

Attached my ECU details from K-Manager:

Does the laptop connect to the Kpro ok?
I sometimes got that message with a Kpro I had spare and it was the daughter board wasn't bolted down properly.
When I laid the ECU flat it would upload fine which was bizzare.

Well, it looks like the laptop connects fine. The ECU is recognized by the laptop and when I turn on the ignition this is recognized as well. :)

Go to online, tools, and clear security. When that is done close the program, reopen it and go to File, New then load a brand new calibration and try to upload it. If the problem persists contact CPL Racing in the UK for additional support.

Thanks I will try it. Do I get a confirmation message from Kmanager after I?ve used the 'clear security' command that it has been executed successfully? :?:
