Hi all

I've a simple question, I want to use the rsx coldair map, but I've read this:

DO NOT EDIT CALIBRATIONS IN NOTEPAD.

You can't convert between ECU types - the underlying tables are different. If you were to copy and paste from one calibration to another, then you find that the fuelling is about 5-15% different, which defeats the purpose.

Thanks for the speedy reply. But now I'm stuck... see I've read that a lot of people are using the rsx coldair for the uk civic type r and they all say something about converting, excel cut and paste deal. But now you say that about the fuel I think I've hit a brick wall, but then again, others are using it so perhaps there's something else to do to the map?

By all reports it's a better map than the one I'm using civictyper tuned.

well, i tried something once with k20a2-rsx-crower-stg2 kal....
- i opened the calibration file with word pad program (right click/open with/word pad)
- change ecu type to from 3 to 2 (2 is for euro CTR)
- save the file as (.kal)
- uploaded into the ecu

done the tuning and everything, but something was missing and car was not smooth somewhere, tried to check everything and change everything possible, still was not 100% happy....
i just thought to copying all the numbers from the converted map to a stock CTR map (k20a2-civictyper-factory) and run it... and guess what, the car became totaly smooth and i was 100% happy... the AFR should changed somthing like 5-15% as hondata said, but it was fixed.

so my suggestion is to copy paste the numbers from an RSX-S maps to CTR map is better than converting an RSX map to a CTR. (also make sure to copy the column and the mBar as well).

that's just my experiance...
