New hondata owner looking for help!!

hello everybody ! last week i bought a 2002 civic si HB and the guy that sold it to me said that his brother had a Hondata Chip installed to it,,, but he wasnt sure wich one .. is it anyway that i can find out wich one? can i contact Hondata an give them the VIN # and maybe they can help me? he said his ECU was sended to california and sended back with the chip on it. besides taking my car to the honda dealer is it any other way that i can find out if this is true? i dont have a scanner, or any obdII tool...

any input will be really helpfull

Is there a USB cable coming from the ECU to indicate KPRO was installed?

Before contacting Hondata; I would gather more information to use in determining what has been installed. Find the ECU and document the serial number to provide along with the VIN#.

We don't actually sell 'Hondata chips', but there is a possiblity that the car has a reflash.

Assuming that your Si is an EP3, if you give us the ECU serial numbers then we can look up and see if it has been reflashed. The ECU is under/behind the glove compartment. The serial number should be two codes, with the first starting with '37820'.

heres the ECU serial number: 37820-PNF-A02 and right underneath is the other code: 2091-200309
