Kmanager disappears

This has happened 3 times over the past few months. I don't access Kmanager much as I'm pretty happy with my tune.
I go to the start menu, click the icon for Kmanager, and a box pops up saying that the short cut no longer points to the file. I look in the Kmanager folder in program files, and everything is there except the Kmanager executable file, it's just plain gone.
I'm using Vista 32 bit home premium, been using it for over a year, had K-pro for over 2 years. The only fix is to re-install the software. I keep the software up to date whenever a new version comes out.

Do you have AVG anti-virus installed? There is a problem with AVG and KMangager just now. I have to restore KManager.exe from the AVG virus vault each time it does a scan. To do this, open AVG and click History then Virus Vault. Click on KManager.exe from the list of files and then click Restore. AVG thinks KManager has the Klone virus for some reason.

I have disabled the scheduled virus scan, we'll see if this does it.

The best solution for the AVG problem is to just uninstall AVG. Other antivirus programs may be less intrusive.

Well, it seems McAfee is no smarter than AVG. I did a manual scan of the Kmanager folder, and it quarantined Kmanager.exe, called it a trojan, New Malware.bx. I have forwarded this information by e-mail to McAfee, as I am unable to add it to my trusted files list. Maybe they can fix this at their end. Updates as they happen.
