Hi

Setup:
Stock B16a2/Blockguard/ARP Headstudds
RC 440 Injectors
T25/28 Nissan Turbo/Tial Wastegate 6Psi
S300 installed/Basemap Created like the discription
Whats wrong now ?

Here i am again.
After installing a SM-AFR from PLX Devices and a little bit tune to run the car not too lean, the idle issue was gone. It idles around 1500 rpm, a little bit high but stable.
A short test drive in 1st and second gear and some changes on the fueltables to get it a little bit Richer, it pulls good, sounds good and is driveable.
A short pull in 1st and 2nd gear and the idle problem is on. idles from 800-1500...
I use the SM-AFR only for Wideband monitoring on D10 ELD. The stock Narrowband is already connected.
On the D connector of my ECU there wasn?t a wire in the D10 ELD.
I add my map and a datalog to show what i mean.
Please take a look at this and give me a anwser.
I think that the AICV has an error.

This sounds like a problem with a vacuum leak. Usually this is at the throttle body.

i will check all Vacuum lines today.
But why cant i get the idle to the 850 rpm ? it has no matter in open or closed loop. idle is 1500...

Hi, Today i fixed the idle problem.
The intake mainfold gasket wasnt right.
I have some problems with the Map from the s300. The calibration File wont open.
My Laptop is Vista and my Home PC (i write here) has XP Pro.
I cant post the new Tuned map today, it semms that the Map i have postet has the same problem.
Ok... Back to topic...
I have start tu tune the car by driving and it seems all good But:
It will not rev over 7k rpm. It sonds like a revlimiter that the injectros wont add fuel over 7k RPM.
I have a Walbro 255 installed but the stock Fuelrail and the Stock Fuelpresure regulater.
Is this a Programming issue ? over 7k rpm the Injector duty cycle is over 100 %, How can i fix this ?

The calibration you have posted is corrupt. Go to File, New and create a new one and upload it to the ecu.

How can this hapend ? is that a Bug that the file are corrupt ? in the past i had this problem one time and since then never more.
That can be the answer why the car wont rev over 7k... i will check this tomorrow. i hope that these corrupted file is not in the ecu.
Is that ok when the injector duty cycle is over 100% on High Load ?
Please give me a Yes or No to my Basemap creation procedure.
1. Stock P30JDm > Create Boost Tables (Retard Ignition .75 Degrees per Lb Boost / Add Fuel under Boost 120% naturally aspirated Fuel levels)
2. under "Fuel Trim" add the new Injecor size 440cc
3. When its too lean, Add fuel in "Fuel Trim" under "Overall Fuel trim" in %
4. Fine Tune in the Fuel Tables but not going over 100% Injector Duty Cycle ?
5. When its Lean after changing "Overall Fuel Trim" to max (i think 100%) get more Fuel Presure ? and Tune again
Sorry for this Questions but my English is not so good and thats the way i understand it ;). Here in Germany the people wont help me so they will only my Money but i will Learn to tune my Car by my self

You should never have to change your overall fuel trim to 100% If you are making huge changes to the overall trim there is a problem soemwhere. Your pump my not be working correctly or you may have a restriction soemwhere.

ok, that was only an example for me ;)
I have seen some issues on my laptop with Vista.
When i create a Basemap on my Home PC (windows XP) is all fine.
When i change the Injecor size the Injector Duty cycle in the Map also changes.
On my Laptop, when i change the injector size (Windows Vista) it wont change the Duty cycle, it stays a whole over 100%.
Now i have created my Basemap on my Home PC and load it to my Laptop. the Calibration is the same.
Is that a Bug or is the SManage not so good with Vista ?

After creating a new basemap and idle/part throttl tuning the car will not rev over 7k rpm when i try to hit my target AFR. it only runs to max rpm when its around 14-14.4:1 afr on high load.
When i will add fuel to get my target AFR around 12.8:1 on high load, the injector duty cycle comes over 100% and it will not more rev to the max. it sounds like a revlimiter.
here is my currend calibration with one datalog (only in the first gear, i have no chance the next days to drive it on the road for a 4th Gear datalog).
Here is my current setup:
T3/T4 Turbo .50/.63AR , Tial 38mm Wastegate max 8 psi
RC 440 12ohm injectors
Walbro 255 Fuelpump
Stock B16a2 with Blockguard and ARP headstudds
Stock Fuel pressure regulator (i dont know how much fuel pressure i have with the stock one)

I see it going to 7845rpm. You need to check your fuel pressure. Make sure the regulator is boost referenced as well.

The regulator is this little thing on the Fuel rail ?
that is the Stock one. Is it good to buy a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator ?
Well i think that also like you that my Fuelpressure is too low for this Turbo.
I have read that the B16a2 has 35 Psi and a B18 and Second Generation B16a2(OBD2) has 45 Psi Fuelpressure.
I hope the Injectors are Big enough, i wont buy Bigger injectors, these are expensive.
For the First setup, it was a T25/t28 Nissan Turbo planned but this one has cracket and so i only got This T3/T04E Turbo... I think that this Turbo produce much more Airvolume against the Little T25/t28.
Wish me Luck that i can fix this with more Fuelpressure.
I write back when i have test it on Wendsday.

after a few monts and a lot of mony (i have build my complete engine new.. i have blown the piston rings from the stock pistons).
Here my complete New setup:
T3/T4 turbo .50/.63 AR
440ccm RC injectors
255lhp walbro fuelpump
Fuelpressure regulator set to 45psi overall
Brand new Wiseco Turbo pistons
Brand new Eagle H-Beam Rods
Brand new Valves
Brand new Bearings and all Seals
Car is Running smooth but there is a little problem.
In Oplen loop i hit the 14.7 afr in idle and part throttle driving.
In Closed Loop i can´t get it to run to 14.7 afr. it runs everytime around 14.6-15.4 afr.
Idle is fine at 850rpm but in Closed loop at 15-15.4 afr...
Where can be the problem ? the ignition ? a little leak in the exhaust that the wideband reads not correct ? the O² voltage is in Idle and part throttle driving around 0.4-0.6 Volt.
Is my SM-AFR damaged ?

in closed loop it will vary a little, and what you have posted looks fine. IT will just help you get better economy.
