It's the first time I installed a hondata but haved chipped many ecu before and have no problems at all. My ecu is a usdm p72 long case fitted with s300 with boost. My problem is the mil light always stays on, whenever i try to get the error code with both the jumper and the s300. As far I turn the on, there fuel pump prime with mil, but mil stay. My laptop seems to communicate with s300 very well, but when I switch the ign on, the main relay flick sometimes. the engine run badly, neither stall... I have code 12 when put my stock jdm p13, but when plugging my p72, I am not able to read any codes. I haved tested any socketing welds and everythings look fine. This p72 do not have R54 on the bord, also, there no C51 and C52 on the installation sheet, but observed them on the hondata website picture. Need advice. thanks

Have you cut J12? Have you tried to datalog and read the code in the software? If the car is revlimiting, what is the revlimit at?

yes j12 is cut, I try to datalog but it don't seem to work...it's like the s300 and the ecu doesn't communicate. the rev limiter kicks in at about 3800 and ran very very lean on the wideband. Does something special about p72 when socketing.

It sounds like a socketing problem or you do not have it seated on the pins properly. Double check everything.

I"ve just been double checked everything and nothing suspect at all... I have buy the hondata socket tester and every lights came one...so everything should be correct... Is it possible that the IC74373 can do some problems if defective... because it's the only thing that I could suspect. PLEASE NEED HELP!!! -Note that my S300 work great in my P28 althought!-

Why did you switch it from the working ecu? Did you move the components form the P28 to the P72? If so, the heat required to desolder htem may have damaged them. You should take this to a Hondata deaelr to have them test it on a known good ecu.

I have first tried the s300 in the p72(Installed with the provided installation kit get with the s300). When I realize that nothing seem to work, I switch the s300 in the p28 and everything worked.-NOTE- I have not removed the components from the p72 to put in my p28. The p28 was already chipped so I make a temporary installation just to see if the s300 work and worked great. So now, is it possible that the ic27373 could be defective and giving me this kind of problem.I ask this because like I told you, I have buyed the track tester and every lights came on, so there is a problem somewhere else. I also tried to put a simple chip on my p72 and don't work either. Your answer are very apreciated and thank you for your patience.

If it does not work with a chip alone, then it sounds like the ecu is damaged.
