Is all knock, true knock?

I did a pull in my 9.0:1 comp k20a2 with 9 psi supercharged and got almost 40 counts of knock when i stopped the pull around 7600 rpm's.
Is this going to be true knock or does the knock sensor pick up vibrations and sounds from the blower right above it?
Thanks for the help.

The knock sensor can pick up blower noise and it's quite common for it to show knock on a charged car.
Post a datalog.

I'd take 2 degrees ign out between 3k and 3.5k on the 40 and 50 cam maps for a start.
Also 2 out on 0 degree map at 2500.
Also I'm guessing you don'y have a wideband sensor as your A/F is stuck at 10.7.
Who did your map mate as your running on 0 degree alot which is unusual.

somin wrong there , your datalog is saying your ignition is 6 degrees , only high as 8 in that little pull , should be higher. like double.

It's right if you check it against the low cam of the 10psi 650cc base map.

I thought that as well as his TPS is relatively low but if you click on the datalog at the point he accelerates and switch to the base map it does highlight those values in columns 10,11,12.
I was surprised it was that high up in the columns but his MAP pressure is up at those levels.

the values its highlighting are in columns 11/12 , and the values are not 6/8 degrees.
you know what dude , your not running the 650cc 10psi map. cause in that map the cam angle doesnt get higher than 30 anywheres. in your datalog , the cam angle is jacked to 50 degrees by 3000 rpm. which of course is no good. send me your calibration dude , let me have a look.

What map are you comparing it to cranny?
I'm looking at the k20a2-rsx-650cc-jrsc-10psi map. It has 50 cam in columns 11,12,13.
Just in case we are both talking about different maps.

hahaha , my bad fonz , i was looking at the cyber 10 psi map. feel like a noob , which i am not. that being settled , its too much imo. too much cam , thats most likely why hes knocking.
what kind of header do you run dude? exhaust? intake? id say lower your cam angle everywhere it says 50 to 30 on the low cam. on the high cam , make all the 50's , 40's. start there. this is of course my opinion. unless you have a 1000 dollar header and 3" exhaust , its too much cam for you. his IAT is reading really hot , so im assuming it doesnt have a CAI on it.

Didn't think you were a noob what so ever cranny which is why I was so confused that we were talking about it so differently.
I didn't even look at his IAT which might be why he's knocking as well. Good spotting dude.
As a wee example at 9PSI my car is running at 30 cam in columns 11,12,13.
50 cam didn't make more power anywhere.
When I ran 7PSI I ran 40 cam as again it made power over 50.
I do have a JDM tho so different cams.

yeah for boosted cars , more valveoverlap isnt better from my experience. run safe , your engine isnt worth it imo.
any updates 02ep?
