ECU, hondata & EPROM

Post by teg92 »

I just got an S200 kit, my ECU was already chipped (PR4 OBDI). I had a base map programmed as well. Now my question is, can I run the basemap by simply inserting the new EPROM in my socket, or will it only work if I wire up the entire blue box?

Being chipped the socket is already soldered, along with the resistor on R54 and the 74HC373. But the instructions specify to solder two caps to C51 & C52 where there is currently nothing. Is this only specific to the hondata installation or getting the interface box to work?

I am just trying to understand what the purpose of the interface box is if you don't have datalogging.

Thanks

pills_PMD is right. If you're still curious, see my comments in this post on the interface box:
