2006 Hondata Reflash ECU

Post by laxd211 »

I want to purchase the reflash for my 06 si, however, I want to purchase a 2nd ECU from honda. Is it possible to buy the same ECU off of HonaPartsDeals.com, as long as it has a compatable code number, and send that one in to be reflashed?

I am just wondering because i don't know if that one is already programmed before it ships to me, and if it isnt, i dont know if it will be able to be reflashed with none of the stock info in it.

please help?

The ecu must be keyed to your immobilizer and have the correct VIN number for us to reflash the ecu. You will be much better off just having your original ecu reflashed with the Hondata program. If you ever need to return to stock it is only $75 to do so. THis will be much cheaper and easier than buying a new ecu.

Believe me, I would much rather do it that way. But my job does not allow me to give up my car for even one day (it sucks) and i have no alternate mode of transportation.

is it possible to get the ecu keyed to my imobilizer at the dealership?

It will be cheaper for you to just rent a car.
