A couple of easy questions .... S200

I have a P28 ECU that was socketed and prepped by Hondata and a S200 newly installed on my car.

First question is about the LED in the S200 ... I read that when yiu first turn the key the on position, it should flash once, then go to a solid ON.
Well, mine never flashes, at all, ever... it just goes to solid ON state.
Is this normal ?

Second question is ... what is this J1 jumper that I keep reading about ?
What does it do ? Why are some people disconnting it ?

The LED is working fine as long as it stays on.

J1 must always be in place for any Hondata system to function. You may be referring to J12 which should be cut on any s100 or s200 system. IF it is not cut, there may be commnuication isssues.
