Software problem since AVG update

Post by G_TypeR »

Hi guys,

wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have a Vista PC and a few days ago after an AVG update, AVG flagged K-manager as a klone trojan. I clicked ignore but K-manager would no longer work. I have tried re-installing K-manager with and without AVG enabled. I have also tried downloading a couple of fresh copies of K-Manager. I've even tried deleting the remaining Hondata keys in the registry after uninstalling. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Sorry I've just seen the news on the hondata home page regarding this. I'll try uninstalling AVG.

Edit:

I've uninstalled AVG and K-Manager now works perfectly. Quite suprised considering I tried disabling AVG when installing and running K-Manager but that still didn't work.

AVG fix

If you have AVG free edition version 8 then you will need to:

-Double click on the AVG icon in (lower right corner by the system time) startup.

-Then double click on resident shield (screen shot one) and click on the manage exceptions button (screen shot 2).

-Check off the box for use excludes for the resident shield (screen shot 3).

-Click on the add path button and browse to C:\Program Files\KManager and click on ok.

-You will then see that path listed and checked off, so then you click apply and ok.

-Click on save changes (screen shot 2). You should now be able to use your K-Pro software with AVG version 8.

***If you have version 7.5 then download version 8.
