Problem with misfires!

Post by salsamike »

I have an 03 RSX type s with JRSC (race version with k-pro), shorty header, high flow cat and greddy exhaust. I recently had 1 step colder spark plugs installed and I have been getting misfire codes in cylinder 2 and 4 as well as random misfires. I also can hear putt sounds coming from the exhaust. I am attaching my calibrations and hopefully you guys can come up with a solution. Thanks for all your help!

Here is a datalog at start-up and idle. I notice that it tends to misfire at startup when it is warm outside. Also if I shut the car off and turn it back on it misfires but runs fine while driving.

Enable closed loop.

550cc injectors don't have a very good spray pattern - 650cc injectors tend to work better, but I understand that the kit probably came with 550cc injectors.

Is this always true, or does it depend on duty cycle? I'm trying to decide between 550cc and 650cc injectors and was thinking that the smallest injector that would meet the maximum demands would be easier to tune for idle & low load conditions.

The 650 cc injectors will be the best bet.
