Closed loop at full throttle?!

Post by PsyKotyk »

- S/N: 4900
- Calibration: Attached
- Data log: Attached
- Vehicle: 2003 RSX-s
- ECU: PRB-A06
- Mods: CAI/Hondata IMG
- KManager Version: 1.2.3.1

I seem to be leaning out a fair bit, and the logs are showing I'm in closed loop at full throttle/full MAP. (about 1:38)

It also showed me in in Open Loop/Cold status when the car was fully warmed. (about 1:32 - 1:33, also 7:10)

Also, not sure why I leaned out around 7:12 ... as it switched from closed to open. Short/Long trim seem okay.

Not sure why it flipped into open loop at 8:24.5

I assume it's normal/safe to be lean when you're decelerating?

Is the fuel status accurate in the datalogs?

Okay .. I'm a yutz.. I have my lean/rich values inversed in my brain.

Still curious about the closed loop/open loop though.

Cheers

only thing that comes to mind is what is your maximum map for closed loop set to.

The ECU datalogs at different rates, and the fuel system status is not updated particularly often. If you look to see where short term fuel trim suddenly switches to 0% that will give you a better idea of when the ECU has switched to open loop.

At 7:12 you need for tip in fuel.

At 8:24 it shows open loop upon decel, even if the fuel injectors were not cut off. Adjusting the TPS to 0% should help.
