2000 GSR turbo.

Hook up customer's P28 hondata S200b ECU and I get the value "26" from the TPS, and a TPS CEL. The value '26' does not change when datalogging and modulating the throttle.

Hook up my P28 hondata S300 ECU to the same car and I get no TPS fault, but the scaling for the TPS does not appear stock, and has to be re-scaled in the TPS scaling function to read correctly.

Hook up his P28 hondata S200b to my own 2000 ITR and I get no TPS fault.

Question: If the TPS is misadjusted, will the S200 automatically produce a fault and not show the live value, whereas the S300 allows the user to recalibrate the sensor by scaling it in the software?

Yes, if the TPS is out of range with the s200 it will produce an error, and default to 26%, whereas with the s300 you can still scale it.

Conclusion:

The car had an aftermarket BLOX TPS.. I ended up having to take the metal inserts out from the mounting holes of the sensor in order to get enough adjustment out of the sensor.. I guess Oscar Jackson said it best "sometimes stock is best"
