Turbo JDM B16A with obd0 pr3

Post by camshaft »

Ok guys what to do ?

The engine comes with 2 o2 sensor A and B and like we all know you can't jump them together or reverse the wires.

How do I wire up my turbo exhaust manifold with 2 oxygen sensors ?
What are my options ?
-2 o2 sensors in the down pipe ?
-upgrade to a OBD1 ecu with one sensor ?

I can't run closed loop operation.

Any input would be great......
thanks guys

The only real solution is to make the switch to OBD 1, you'll be glad you did.

Thanks again guys..........
But the BIG PROBLEM HERE IS!!!!!!!!!!!
HONDATA SOLD ME THE 4B ON THE PR3
And it doesn't even work correctly

So now after spending 800-900 usd I have to get another ECU, obd0-obd1 adapter, different distributor, and then the hondata modification

thanks da693 but the problem isn't how to put a second o2 sensor into the down pipe. Its that pr3 has 1 o2 sensor for 2 cylinders

You can put the stage 4 you have now on a OBD 1 ecu it's not that hard to do. Get the OBD 1 plugs from a junk yard and a junk OBD 0 ecu and make the harness yourself.

You can keep using the PR3, but you'll have to run open loop.
Not a big issue if you have the time and tools to tune properly.
I have done it, passed CT emmisions.

You'll need a base map that is set up for open loop as you
cannot 'switch' it in RomEditor.

Procedure:
Export your fuel and ignition tables to a file.
Open the 'open loop' base file and import your tables
Save-As another chip file.
Burn rom with new file.
No More O2 sensor issues, you don't have to run with any if you choose.

Disclaimer: You are on your own as far as your local emmisions laws.

I can send you this base map if you can't get it from Hondata, where
I got it.
