Hey everyone, my name is Justin, Im 19, and this is my daily driving car, a 97' Acura Integra GSR that you can check out in the links above.
My dad helped me buy this car a few months ago, after I got ran off the road and totalled my civic >.< But anyway, it was already partially tuned for NOS before it was bought and ran great until I changed the thermostat. The car had an stuck open thermostat which caused it to always run cold, and I got no heat, so I replaced it with the Duralast 170, and I get heat now ^.^ But.. now after it warms up it starts making like a offbeat rattling chain sounding noise at low rpms before V-Tec which I avoid hitting, dont know if it acutally disappears, or just gets blocked out by the exhaust noise.. Putting in octane booster reduces that noise, but still does it if you give it too much throttle. Which makes me believe the a/f ratio or timing is not correct possibly?
What I didnt realize when I got this car, I would not have a place to professionaly tune it right around where I live. I have tried to get help from a couple of different honda shops, and mechanic shops, but none of them know how to tune this car through the SManager program.
So anyway, I dont know how to tune it myself correctly right now, and I need it fixed as soon as possible since I drive it daily and worried that its damaging my engine. I have tried learning all I can about it, but no luck on finding a solution yet. So can someone please check out my two datalogs at the bottom, and give me a little advice on how to fix this noise or what I should do? Any help will be greatly appreciated~
