NON iridium spark plugs

Ok, I do not want to use iridium spark plugs. I run heat range 8 or 9 ngk plugs, currently they are non resistor plugs and I want to change them to resistor plugs. What plugs can I use.

Any ideas?

You don't have much of a choice, either run resistor 7's, or buy the Iridium's for colder heat ranges.

Do you really need 8's or 9's? How much power are you making, and on what motor?

its what the shop put in when they tuned it. I can probly run the 7s thats what dsms, evos all run. Its a f22b dohc nonvtec running 9-11 psi 260 whp

by the way, if your locash from locash racing, I am running a locash racing obd2 to obd1 harness from you.

Glad to know you have my adapter! :) Actually, you don't have a need for anything more than NGK BKR7E's, so don't worry about it.. Toss em in, gap them to .035 or so, and you'll be just fine..

yeah, it works great for 4 years or so now. oh, its a accord too. You think the 7s are fine, Im going to try em, and the gapping, .35? i run a full msd ignition so it should be fine, but i was told and read .26-.29 but ill try it.

.035, not .35 :) Also, in theory, since you have more spark energy with the MSD system, you should be able to run a larger gap as well. It is my opinion that the MSD analog systems (6A/6AL) cause more problems than they are worth anyway.

yeah, .035 is what i ment. im going to try and see if it detonates and go from there

If it detonates, you have too much ignition advance, and the fix is not a colder spark plug. :)
