Troubles, "no" start, error codes...

Post by ExViTermini »

Ok, I'm running an 89 DX with a boosted 2.0 GSR. DX to SI conversion was completed long before the swap, it ran a ZC just fine. The obd-0 to 1 conversion was done with a boomslang harness (removed from a perfectly working setup).

I desoldered a chip from an ecu and installed the male pins to work with the s300. The car will start and run for about .5-1sec, then promptly die and throw a CEL. Only thing is I cannot pull the code(neither with SManager or the blue plug..), and the car will not fire again. Cycle the key and the light is off, however it usually will not fire again and will throw the light.

I chipped a virgin p28, and installed the s300 into that one, same thing. I'm at a loss, I've chipped over 100 ecu's and only had one failure other than this one. (It had been chipped before and lifted tracks on me..)

Also, if you datalog the car while your trying to crank it, everything seems normal, but as soon as the CEL comes on the RPM goes to 65k and something. Highest revving B ever!

Any input appreciated...thanks
