S2000 Kpro

Post by supertuner »

What would it take to be able to use kpro in my 06 S2000 ? Swapping out to a cable throttle body ? rewiring pins ? I really don't wanna use the aem ems so I'm willing to do what i need to do get kpro to work. thanks in advance

You would litterally have to convert everything in the car to 00-05. This includes the cluster and all wiring in the car as well as pedals and such. So the answer is it cannot be done, sorry.

well, isnt the only difference is the DBW? so if he were to convert it to a 05 TB, and pedals, what would be the difference in the ECU? as wiring and gauge cluster. im confused as to why "all the wiring and the cluster" would have to be converted

The vehicle to ECU wiring is different.

could it just be repined or an adapter harness made (like the kpro for the 05-06 rsx) ? Or maybe even repining and running a couple new wires if needed? Making those necessary wires changes, changing pedals and throttle body is absolutely worth it to use your product.

The reason what we won't recommend for you to do this is that we cannot offer support for this swap. Step 1 would be to get the 00-05 and 06 manuals, compare wiring diagrams, then work out the differences.

ok, well ive been sourcing out all the wiring stuff... Now, i have recently found out that there is a shop that modifes the AEM EMS for the 06+ s2k. what they do is use the stock ECU for the DBW and idle control, and the EMS for the rest. (still loses the VSS and cruise control) Could maybe hondata look into something like that? i know it seems like there is a market for the DBW s2k's, and the new civic si's... seems like it would be a good investment to me. IMO i would much rather use hondata over anything, cause kpro is so user freindly. i had it on my rsx, and i would love to get it for my s2 now... i can tell you that i for sure would be one of the first, if not the first, to buy it.
