wideband confussion

Post by jneely »

So I have an AEM wideband can I use its 0-5v output for datalogging and my stock O2 for closed loop operation? As I understand it I can input the AEM 0-5v output on pin D10 correct? So if my stock O2 in intact and working can I use it for my narrowband with out a problem? Id really hate to have to purchase a PLX when my AEM works perfectly. I know that there are tons of posts on here about this but I want to be compleatly sure. I wasnt able to get a really stable anwser from any of the ones I read.

Thanks, Justin

right so I anwsered my own question. I am ashamed to say that all the posts on here about wideband configuration had my confused when in actuallity it is very simple. Have an 02 that does not have a supplied 0-1v narrowband output and would like to be able to use autotune and closed loop? Install a second 02 bung and leave your stock 02 sensor for closed loop operation. Cut the ELD wire to the ECU pin D10 then connect the 0-5v output of your wideband to the D10 wire. Once this is done you need to configure Smanager by going to the closed loop tab under wideband lambda you should chose the approiate input source in this case D10 and adjust the conversion table in my case since I am using an AEM Uego I used 0v=0.68 and 4.99v=1.37 this way you can use WB without and narrowband output and be able to have closed loop operation and use autotune. Let it be know that inputting the 0-5v through D10 in some cases requires the removal of a few resistors within the ECU so if erroronous AF reading occur and you conversion table is setup correctly try a different input wire such as D12 and select that under WB input. Hope this helps someone.
