PA sensor

If I understand this right, this is a barro sensor in the ECU?

With KPro, it aprears to be always reading 255.0 Kpa?

reason I have noticed thi is that when driving up to higher altitudes the tune goes increasingly rich - like no barro correction?

have I missed something?

There is a PA sensor in the ECU. If you disable OBDII then the PA sensor will read 255 kPa.

The MAP sensor inherently compensates for air pressure changes caused by elevation, so if the tune goes rich look at reducing fuel in columns 7-9, depending on elevation.

OK, that explains it...

next question, if I am runing TPS based load, there is a prompt:

"scale calculated MAP by atmospheric pressure"

How does this work? do I have to enable OBD for the PA to work for this?

(sorry if I am being dim!)

This changes the lookup column based by PA to partially compensate for elevation. It still works if OBDII is disabled.

OK,

so rather than a % change based on PA, it 'moves' the TPS/MAP scale?

how much by? (as in what's the calculation).

Reduces the calulated column index in proportion to standard atmospheric pressure.
