I looked for some questions and or results after k pro install on a d17 civic didnt find any,

1. What will just the Kpro do to a nearly stock D17?

2. What can I expect after a mild boost app.?

3. After the turbo I want to tear down the engine, rebuild with all bulletproof parts (crower rods, wiseco pistons, etc) how easy will the kpro be able to tune to that???

I know that this is maybe the backwards way of tuning a 2001 civic the K20 would be cheaper but I dont like going with the flow and want to write my own chapter in the book of Honda, so anyone that has done this please give me some pointers. K pro has been ordered today cant wait to get my mits on it!

It will not do much for a stock vehicle as there really isn't much to be gained without making major chnages such as boost.

Whatever you plan to do the K-Pro will allow you to properly tune it on the dyno to extract the most power from the modifications you do.

Allright I got the kpro today wile reading the distructions for the cam gear I noticed that it said that the PS,ALT andneeds an engine mount loosened... OK I can deal without PS but no altinator? There were no instructions on how the engine goes back together am I gonna need to get an aftermarket altinator???

reassembly is the reverse of disassembly. You do not need to loose power steering or the alternator. It will all go back juust like it was originally. If you are having difficulty you need to contact a reputable shop to assist you with the installation.

Well the reason I asked was the intructions say and I Quote:

" the dimensions of the adjustable timing wheel are larger than the stock timing wheel. To install, the powersteering pump must be removed, the alternator removed and the end engine mount loosened."

Since it doesnt say a thing else, I started to wonder what the heck are you suposed to do without an alternator? I figured it should all go back together just fine but just the fact that it said that in the instructions made me waiver a lill bit
