Intermittent Speedo

I recently installed a Greddy Kit as well as a Kpro. It's maybe every other day, my speedo just stays at 0 the whole ride. I've never seen it start working while driving, only on startup the next day. I checked the threads, and the only thing I could find was to check the 4th fuse under the dash. All fuses are fine. Also my kpro was professionally tuned, and the speedo was acting like this before the tune. Any suggestions appreciated.

You have either a speedo or wiring problem from the sounds of it.

You think the speedo went bad only after the installation of the KPro? If it's a wiring issue, where should I start to look? Thank You.

Datalog when your speedo is not workgin and see if it is reading the speed correclty in Kamanager.

Mentioning the FIRE would have helped us diagnose your problem.

To be honest, I didn't know if it would have had an affect. The power steering line was the only thing that really caught. I'm sorry, it was a pretty bad experience and your right I should have mentioned it in this forum.

Spunkster, do you have any other ideas, now knowing there was a small fire above the turbo near my P.S. line? It's my luck... I had it tuned today by a place who did an excellent job by the way, and my speedometer was working the whole time. Then I realized once I got on the parkway it was on zero. If say the speedo wire (I think it's Blue) inside the wiring harness got damaged, what would be the best way to fix that? Also I'm not much of a Tech, I let my Friend/Mechanic do all my work, and he's always doing sidework after work. Where do you think I should have him start? With a voltmeter?
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.

Just datalogged today. Kmanager was showing accurate readings, which leads me to believe the VSS is in good condition. So it must be a wiring issue somewhere, ugh. I'll have to somehow figure out where on the wire the issue is. Also, it's the blue wire correct?

Was the speedometer working when you did the datalog?

The speedometer wasn't working, although kmanager was reading speed from the KPro.

I ordered a used cluster, hopefully it will work. If it doesn't do you have any other ideas?
