ok i got a tune from some shop. i went home and Down loaded the program and then changed my launch control. uploaded the map with the new launch limiter. the car start but sounded like shit. i gave the car a little gas and then it died. same thing happened twice more. i then was like o fuck what did i do. so i loaded a base map and tried to start the car same thing. give it gas and then it died. by the way the car sounded like ass all the times i started it. went and got my stock ecu and put that in, sure enough it started right up no problems. i went back to the guy and he he put the kpro back in and reloaded the map and it worked fine. he then told me that the program was copywrited and he was the only that could change the settings. so i went along and he got the car running with the kpro.

its been a few months now and i want to get tunned somewhere else. im going to get a new primary 02 and put it in but i cant check to see if it works unless i check the kpro and im to scared to try becasue i dont want the same shit to happen. is there i can check ? or datalog or do anything?

anyways i talked to the guy that tunned it originally today and asked him what i can do. he said just hook the computer up and check. i told him dont u remember what happened last time, and said ii copyrighted the program so how can i take it off. he said he didnt and that its my computer or my software. so its like what the hell am i suppose to do? is it my kpro or is it his program and how can i find out?

i want to get tunned by someone online but it requires my primary 02 sensor to work and i have to replace my current one and to check and see of the new on works i have to check it through kpro, but i dont want to mess with anything if its going to cause my car not start, or run. i need help thanks in advance for any info given

Let's start with you providing the version of software you are using from Help, About at the top of Kmanager.

i upgraded my kmanager before or after the problem happened i forgot what i did it was a while ago , i would like to say i upgraded before but it could have been after seeing i was trying to fix it

If you have the calibration saved on your laptop from the tuner, then just open Kmanager, go to File, Open and open the file and make the changes you want and upload them to the ecu.

If you don't have the calibration, go to Online, Tools, and download the calibration form the ecu. Save the file to your laptop and then make the changes you want and upload the calibration to the ecu.

well when i got home thats waht i did, i hooked up the labtop downloaded the orgram from the ecu then saved it then changed waht i needed and loaded it, car started but would die when u gave it gas. i went to the tuner and he said that the reason it did that is because of copy right. but i talked to him a few days ago and he is saying that its a software problem on my part, but its like he keeps telling me differant things and i thinks its to cover his ass. so i just want to get to the bottom of the problem, and im scared to hook the labtop up because i dont want to get locked out again. thanks in adavance for any help

If you are scared to do anything, there really isn't much else we can tell you.

well what is the best thing i should do, just load a base map on there, and not try and dl the program thats on there?

I would start with what I've already told you and then if that doesn't work, load a base map.
